Description

Monkey Hands is a gel grip aid designed specially for pole dancers and aerialists. The creators have developed 4 formulas which they have honed to perfection over the last 7 years.

Monkey Hands' new eco bottles are made from 100% recycled materials and contain 25% extra grip for the same price!

- Gluey (Green): Dries your hands and provides a VERY STRONG additional grip when practicing. Unlike the other grips of this line, the Gluey comes after a process of slow-cooked rosin. This long process helps to create a formula that washes off very easily compared to other rosin-based grips in the market, and of course, it is antibacterial!  Recommend for aerial silks and hoop. Can be used on poles for athletes looking for a very strong grip. Not recommended for spins on static.

  • Ingredients: Isoamyl Laurate, c10-c30 Acrylates, Cross Polymer Acrylates, Alcohol, Silica
  • Size: 50ml
Key features
  • Unlike most grip aids Monkey Grip does not contain Pine Tar. Pine Tar is difficult to remove from your pole without the use of acetone or harsh chemicals which damage the coating on your pole in the long term. Monkey hands can be removed using water. For the Gluey version, that contains rosin, it is advised to use water and soap or alcohol (which is not a damaging ingredient for poles).

I tend to use Chalk, so I'm not used to anything else, but it seems very sticky. And you only have to get quite a bit on your fingertips as it is too sticky.

Does what it says on the tin. This stuff makes you feel glued to the pole. Good for when you’re learning a new scary trick and want to feel as secure as possible. I don’t think I’d use it as my regular grip though maybe for an extra sweaty session… quite hard to clean off the pole. You need a lot of alcohol to remove the residue.

Grip isn't cheap but it's very sticky and does the job well, I don't find it too sticky for my super slippery pole

It didn’t work too well for me actually :( my hands were slippery after a few minutes

M

It does make my hands stick to the pole, however it comes of the hands really quickly and would not last an entire routine, also if you sweat it will stop this from working

J
Jennifer

Super and strong

I have a lot of trouble with grip in the pole because of sweaty hands... But this stuff makes my hand sticky like glue. It feels like hair gel on the hands, though it doesn't wash off very easily. I don't mind though, but if you want clean hands you'll have to wash twice. Overall, I love it!

I had a more gluey grip with the red version eventhough this is supposed to be stronger. Still works fine, not as good as red though
